Our X-ray systems are designed so that they do not require any regular maintenance. If you do have a problem, you can contact us at any time. OR Technology has its own support centre [+49 381 36 600 800] with over 20 employees. Here you will be helped immediately, via remote maintenance problems with the software can be solved immediately. Our technicians in the field will take care of it immediately if something needs to be repaired or replaced on site.

If you create digital X-ray images on site at the customer's and you do not use our ORCA^® Cloud, these are first stored locally on your laptop/tablet. The X-ray images are automatically* transferred to the practice or clinic archive as soon as you are logged back into your practice or clinic network.

We offer an additional, very convenient solution with the ORCA^® Cloud. The images are stored in the cloud archive after being triggered and are immediately available everywhere. ORCA^® Cloud is the perfect platform to store, view and share medical images and documents in a dedicated cloud optimised for this purpose.

In addition, you can use the web-based viewer dicomPACS^®MobileView to access all image material via the dicomPACS^®vet system worldwide via a network connection. Almost browser-independent, it offers the viewing of image material on mobile devices even outside a veterinary or equine clinic or practice.

The heart of every veterinary X-ray system is the software developed by OR Technology with integrated X-ray helper.

The software takes over the complete control of X-ray generators and X-ray systems from different manufacturers and thus enables an orderly and optimal workflow. A simple and user-friendly user interface via touch screen or mouse control completes the system.

The professional dicomPACS^®DX-R image processing, which can be adapted to special user requirements, impresses with its outstanding image quality. High-performance image processing allows organ-specific optimisation and thus guarantees X-ray images of the highest quality.

Archiving and long-term storage are the cornerstones of any modern digital imaging system. Fast availability of both "fresh" and long-term archived image material as well as a high level of security against availability failure are the requirements that such systems must absolutely fulfil today. dicomPACS^®vet fulfils these requirements and, thanks to its archive structure (online/offline as archive copy), is at the same time a secure investment in the future. With the help of this "double" archive, you can manage and store all your data centrally.

The current images of the imaging modality are stored on the PACS image server of your network on a so-called RAID system. A hard disk RAID still works even if a single disk is defective. In addition, all new incoming data is saved on an extra area for daily backup. Multiple storage guarantees that even data not yet backed up by the daily backup is redundant. Older images and documents are distributed several times in the network on inexpensive mass storage devices. In this way, the entire archive can be kept online.

The daily backup with the dicomPACS^®vet backup module is carried out either on another hard disk or also on DVD or on a streamer or network storage. Storage on optical or magneto-optical storage media ensures the minimum long-term archiving of ten years legally required for your data in the X-ray Ordinance. These offline copies should be stored outside the practice and are, so to speak, only necessary for extreme emergencies.

Speed is the key All images from the last few months are stored on the server, which, thanks to modern hard disks, RAID system and fast network connection, is able to make any image available to any workstation of your choice in a matter of seconds.
Older images that have been stored for more than one or two years are stored several times on local standard PCs with conventional hard disks, the so-called PC farm. Loading times from this part of the archive are only slightly slower than from the image server.
And even in the event of a possible failure of a PC farm computer, further work is possible without any problems and without additional downtime due to the standard double storage.

We offer you a very convenient solution for this with our ORCA^® Cloud. The images are stored in the cloud archive after the X-ray shot in the horse stable and are immediately available everywhere in DICOM format. It is also possible to provide the horse owner with the X-ray images professionally via the cloud with a virtual patient CD. Getting an instant second opinion from colleagues or staff is also very easy to handle with the Cloud.
