The amazingly light, portable X-ray backpack system for veterinary radiography

Just sling the lightweight Leonardo DR nano X-ray backpack over your shoulder and head off to your next radiography examination! The Leonardo DR nano consists of only two components: a wireless X-ray detector and a laptop. Weighing just under 9 kg (including carrying case, laptop, accessories and flat panel detector), the system is one of the lightest portable X-ray solutions worldwide. It is ideal for ambulatory digital radiography, any time and any place. Getting tangled up in annoying cables is a thing of the past!

The Leonardo‘s straightforward user interface makes it easy for staff to generate excellent X-ray images. In addition, the integrated multimedia X-ray positioning guide assists with patient positioning. The Leonardo DR nano system is well suited for use in confined spaces. The X-ray unit and detector have a wireless connection to the acquisition and diagnosis software on the laptop. The X-ray detector and laptop can be stationed up to 10 m apart and still function optimally.

X-ray images are available for viewing on the laptop immediately after exposure and can be sent to the owner and veterinary experts via email or cloud services.

Thanks to its low weight and compact build, the Leonardo DR nano system can be used almost anywhere - in veterinary practices, equine clinics and teaching hospitals.

Features & Benefits of the Leonardo DR nano X-ray System

Wireless X-ray imaging

Quickly deployable and hassle free

The wireless X-ray detector is available in one sizes (14 x 17 inches). When used together with a battery-powered HF X-ray generator, veterinary radiography is completely wireless and portable.

The smallest and lightest DR system

Easy to transport, quick to set up

The extremely compact Leonardo DR nano is stowed in a well-desiged and sturdy backpack (also usable as a carrying bag). Weighing just under 9 kg (including laptop, accessories and detector), the entire unit can easily be carried to remote locations. Portable battery-operated X-ray generators (> 6.8 kg) make the system fully operable in the field. Once on site, the Leonardo DR nano can be assembled quickly and easily.

Perfectly stowed

Well organized and safe for transport

All components are stowed in custom-fitted and sealable compartments in the lightweight backpack. All-round padding offers shock protection to the flat panel detector and laptop.

Excellent image quality

Fantastic images thanks to state-of-the-art technology

The wireless detector boasts outstanding image quality with up to 5 lp/mm resolution.

Quick patient processing and well-documented workflow

X-ray images are available for viewing and diagnosis within 6-8 seconds of triggering.

Straightforward handling even for unspecialised staff

The professional dicomPACS®DX-R acquisition software sports an intuitive and modern graphical user interface. All examinations are conducted comfortably at a single monitor.

Ingenious design

An integrated X-ray positioning guide provides information on the correct adjustment technique for each examination, classified according to animal species (cat, dog and horse).

Special measuring functions such as automatic HD measuring (AI-support), MMP, TTA, TPLO and vertebral heart score, as well as macros for recurring examinations (e.g. pre-purchase examinations for horses), can be used at no extra cost.

Remote controlled

You can use a mobile terminal, such as your smartphone, via a special app as a remote control to take and view images. Attached to your arm or the X-ray generator, it also serves as a control element allowing the user to gain a first impression of the images taken without having to move to the actual console workstation (tablet PC). You can find more information about the Remote Control app here.

Professional preparation of reports

With the optional report module for X-ray services used for pre-purchase examinations of horses, a professional diagnostic report and the relevant documentation can be prepared in no time.
