The Leonardo DR nano is a modern and professional X-ray system vital for any well-equipped emergency medical service. The Leonardo offers top-quality medical care when doctor‘s offices and hospitals are inaccessible, e.g., for passengers and crew on board ships.

OR Technology‘s Leonardo DR nano is easy for even unspecialised staff to operate. The integrated multimedia X-ray positioning guide assists with patient positioning. The possibility of diagnosis supported by an automatic, AI-assisted thorax screening (by a qualified third-party provider) is also included in the software (optional). High-quality X-ray images can be generated quickly on board for immediate diagnosis or for consultation with a trusted specialist via email or cloud services. 

The Leonardo DR system weighs only 9 kg and consists of two components: a wireless X-ray detector and a laptop (optionally tablet PC) plus accessories. The unit is portable and extremely versatile due to its low weight, compact design and practical carrying case. The laptop complies with the newest standards and is equipped with the professional acquisition and diagnosis software, dicomPACS®DX-R.

Wireless X-ray imaging

Quickly deployable and hassle free

The wireless X-ray detector is available in one sizes (14 x 17 inches). When used together with a battery-powered HF X-ray generator, X-ray imaging is completely wireless and portable.

The smallest and lightest DR system

Easy to transport, quick to set up

The extremely compact Leonardo DR nano is stowed in a well-designed and sturdy carrying case (also functions as a backpack). Weighing just under 9 kg (including laptop, accessories and detector), the entire unit can easily be carried to remote locations. Portable battery-operated X-ray generators (> 6.8 kg) make the system fully operable in the field. Once on site, the Leonardo DR nano can be assembled quickly and easily.

All components are stowed in custom-fitted and sealable compartments in the lightweight backpack. All-round padding offers shock protection to the flat panel detector and laptop.

The integrated X-ray positioning guide helps you choose the perfect positioning during the examination of human and animal patients. The guide suggests parameter adjustments and presents helpful photos, videos and X-rays images.

Rapid diagnosis by a specialist

The integrated diagnosis software provides global, rapid and inexpensive consultations (telemedical solutions via e-mail or cloud services) in compliance with safety and privacy regulations. The only requirement is an internet connection. 

Remote controlled

You can use a mobile terminal, such as your smartphone, via a special app as a remote control to plan and view images. Attached to your arm or the X-ray generator, it also serves as a control element allowing the user to gain a first impression of the images taken without having to move to the actual console workstation (tablet PC). You can find more information about the Remote Control app here.

Acquisition and diagnostic software for X-ray images

DXR human

At the heart of each Leonardo system is the dicomPACS®DX-R acquisition and diagnostic software with the integrated X-ray positioning guide developed by OR Technology. 

The software controls X-ray generators and X-ray units of various manufacturers, providing a smooth and structured workflow. A simple and user friendly GUI (graphical user interface), operated by touchscreen or mouse, completes the system.

The professional dicomPACS®DX-R image processing can be adapted to individual user needs and offers outstanding image quality in human and veterinary medicine. It has been specially developed to enable organ specific viewing quality optimisation, guaranteeing the highest quality of X-ray images.
