OR Technology implements a special solution for imaging plate
systems: dicomPACS®DX-R now also controls the X-ray generator
At an internal medicine practice in Caslano, Switzerland, the X-ray images of the
CR system, a Kodak Point of Care unit, are converted into a digital format by means of
the dicomPACS®DX-R acquisition software for X-ray images. Apart from the imaging
plate system, this solution also integrates a Stadler 8-series X-ray generator. The
dicomPACS®DX-R software also assumes complete control of the generator and
thus allows quick and easy work – just like the integrated professional DR systems
with flat panel detectors.
“All the necessary adjustments for an X-ray examination may be made from one user surface” says Bernd Oehm, one of the two managing directors of OR Technology, explaining the advantages of the system. “We have optimized user-friendliness by means of numerous helpful functions integrated into the dicomPACS®DX-R software.”
These include the multimedia X-ray positioning guide which displays the correct adjustments for each examination, providing hints, photos and videos.
It allows the user to verify, prior to taking the X-ray, how to correctly set up the X-ray image. The included professional image processing can be adapted to individual user needs. It has been specially developed to enable organ specific optimisation, guaranteeing the highest quality X-ray images. Many more options and support functions, such as integrated measuring functions and the insertion of free texts and arrows etc., greatly facilitate the X-ray process and the evaluation of images.
