Just expand digitally: Great demand for the Medici Retrofit solution
Just a year after launching the Medici DR systems product, OR Technology is proud of having attained successful interim results. The system provider from Rostock has developed individual “direct radiography upgrade solutions” for existing X-ray systems in the field of X-ray imaging and image management. OR Technology has thus provided easy access to direct digital X-ray imaging for more than 30 practices and clinics.The retrofit solution Medici includes one or several flat panel(s), a PC with user friendly operation via touchscreen and the acquisition software for X-ray images dicomPACS®DX-R. In addition, the software assumes complete control of the X-ray generators and systems of a variety of manufacturers.
“Our new X-ray system has proven to be successful, not only because of its very high imaging speed, but also in terms of the quality of image details”, comments Dr. med. Uwe Kairies from the joint radiology practice in Demmin / Germany on the introduction of the DR system Medici. “The entire work process has also become faster and more efficient”, adds his colleague Dr. med. Frank Rosenbaum.
The Medici systems are available with flat panels from various manufacturers and in different sizes.The solution with a Varian 4336R flat panel does not require any reconstruction of the bucky since the flat panel has the same size as a conventional 43 x 35 cassette. This applies to all Medici DR systems: They may be integrated into the practice management software and transfer the X-ray images into an image management system (PACS)
