Digital X-ray imaging with Leonardo
OR Technology develops portable X-ray system for mobile X-ray examinations

In addition to the imaging plate systems installed in cars, more and more veterinarians are starting to use a compact “suitcase system” as an even faster and more compact alternative in the field of digital radiography for out patient treatment. For that purpose OR Technology, system supplier in the field of digital X-ray and image management, has launched a new product line with integrated flatpanel detectors.

The handy Leonardo solution is easy to transport: All necessary components (detector, 17” notebook and cables) are housed in a robust suitcase with integrated wheels. Areas of application are mobile veterinary practices, equine clinics and universities.

PACS®DX-R - the acquisition software for X-ray images - forms the core of the Leonardo DR suitcase, says Bernd Oehm, a CEO of OR Technology. “The intuitively used software combines image acquisition, workflow and diagnosis and contains many functions facilitating work. The integrated radiographic positioning guide provides detailed instructions on exact positioning as well as correct X-ray images and a lot of tips and tricks. And frequently repeated images can be captured as makros, for example for pre-purchase examinations.”

A range of different Leonardo suitcases in various sizes are available for variuos needs, such as
