OR Technology has just received a major order for two Medici systems
from a client in Botswana

The German image processing and PACS developer has been contracted to install two Medici retrofit systems in a Gaborone clinic. OR Technology, based in Rostock, northern Germany, will undertake this project in collaboration with its South African distributor TecMed Africa.

Two X-ray systems will be digitised in the new „Bokamoso Private Hospital“ clinic: one system will be equipped with a Medici DR Dual System with two Varian 4336R flat panel detectors, the other one with a Medici DR Single System with one Varian 4336R flatpanel detector. The acquisition software for X-ray images dicomPACS®DX-R forms the core of the system. The DX-R software also controls the Röntgenwerk Bochum X-ray generators enabling an ideal workflow.

dicomPACS®DX-R is characterized by its special user-friendly features”, says Bernd Oehm, a CEO of OR Technology. The organ specific image processing can be adapted specifically to the needs of the doctor and offers outstanding image quality.

The integrated radiographic positioning guide provides detailed instructions on exact positioning as well as correct X-ray images and a lot of tips and tricks.

After capturing, X-ray images are transferred in DICOM format into a PACS system.   Integrated communication with patient management systems (HIS, RIS and others) allows quick and easy exchange of task requests. The generated X-ray images can be evaluated directly by means of the fully integrated dicomPACS® diagnostic module in the Medici system or in PACS.
