How does Direct Radiography work?

Flat panel convert X-rays directly or indirectly into a digital image signal. There is no need for the intermediate steps required by imaging plates and cassettes. The X-ray image is often available for diagnostic evaluation after only about five seconds, which reduces your examination time considerably.

The integrated multimedia X-ray positioning guide [Screen] provides detailed instructions on exact positioning. The quick and simple workflow enables the user to complete the entire process – from patient registration to imaging request, image preview [Screen] and image viewing [Screen] – at one workstation.

The generated X-ray images generated are stored in a data base and made available to image processing and management systems (PACS). Communication with patient management systems (HIS, RIS and others) for the exchange of patient data is also integrated into the system.
