OR Technology receives IHK export award
The 2011 IHK (Chamber of Industry and Commerce) award was presented to OR Technology. The software specialist from Rostock impressed the jury with its internationally marketable products and its remarkable development while securing existing jobs and creating new opportunities. The award offered by the Chambers of Industry and Commerce of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern was presented on 01.11.2011 in a festive ceremony as part of the Day of Foreign Trade in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
The IHK export award is valued at EUR 5000 and was first awarded in 2005. It is offered countrywide to reward the intensive efforts undertaken by small to medium-scale businesses to open up foreign markets. OR Technology consisting of 50 staff members, exports solutions in the field of medical image processing and X-ray technology all over the world. From Switzerland to Australia and the United States – the comprehensive product portfolio is used in clinics and practices for human and veterinary medicine in more than 50 countries.
Bernd Oehm, one of the two managing directors, describes the IHK export award as a “great motivation” for the enterprise. “The IHK export award is a wonderful tribute to the outstanding achievements of our staff members who meet the high demands of our customers both locally and abroad. Without them we would not have received this award today.”
This year OR Technology celebrated the company’s 20th anniversary. Another milestone in the history of the company was the move to the new company headquarters at the Rostock city harbour to provide space for future growth. Receiving the IHK export award rounds off a successful 2011.
